Each year TSO’s parent company Williams Lea selects one charity to give focus to our charitable activities. In February 2014 we were delighted to launch our charitable partnership with Age UK. This partnership will run until February 2016 and particularly focus on Age UK’s campaign to help all older people Love Later Life – as we believe that no one should be lonely or isolated in older age.

Throughout the year our Catalyst Committee and Charity Champions will organise numerous entertaining fundraising events and challenges for employees to get involved in. We aim to raise £150,000 during the first 12 months of this partnership which includes Williams Lea’s matched funding.

In addition 50 Williams Lea and TSO colleagues are supporting Age UK’s Call in Time befriending service inviting employees to call a lonely older person for 20 minutes each week.

“In the UK today 1 million older people have not shared a cup of tea with a friendly face in over a month. Nobody deserves to be lonely, and Age UK are thrilled that Williams Lea are supporting our cause. All the funds raised by Williams Lea this year will go a long way to support Age UK’s vital work, helping to give everyone the chance to love later life. We are really grateful to Williams Lea employees for their ongoing enthusiasm and support.” Hannah Greenshields Corporate Partnership Manager - Age UK
