It’s almost time for the largest book and media fair in the world – with around 7500 exhibitors from over 110 countries. Following the interest from publishers last year, TSO will be exhibiting its range of digital publishing solutions at this year's Frankfurt Book Fair.
The Office for National Statistics (ONS) has selected TSO to help it achieve a single source for the latest, quality assured, statistical geographic information as Linked Open Data. This will provide easy to use geographic information for the Government Statistical Service (GSS), statistical producers and external users to analyse.
On 15th and 16th July this year TSO will be at Civil Service Live at the QEII Conference Centre, the event that brings together civil servants working in government departments and agencies with private sector organisations to collaborate, share ideas and develop methods to make best practice the norm.
TSO has once again been awarded a place on the latest G-Cloud agreement for the supply of 13 services across four lots: Infrastructure as a Service; Platform as a Service; Software as a Service and Specialist Cloud Services.

Case studies

The National Archives’ service was created in partnership with TSO to be the world’s first state legislative records service published online, and available in multiple formats, using Open Data standards.

The Hansard (Official Report) provides an edited record of what was said in Parliament and NIA. It also includes votes, written ministerial statements and written answers to House of Commons and House of Lords parliamentary questions. This content is now available as an app.

Nature Publishing Group (NPG) produces leading scientific journal, Nature, and is part of the global Macmillan Publishing Group. The Group was keen to offer linked data to third parties and asked TSO to help implement this.

Thames Valley Police (TVP) is the largest non-metropolitan police force in England and Wales. TSO and partner System Simulation Limited, have worked closely with TVP to implement a Digital Asset Management system to manage TVP’s digital still images.
